How to Apply

For Incoming Freshmen there are a few easy steps to apply for CoRE:

1. Get accepted to Binghamton University

2. Once accepted to the University, turn your web-browser to Residential Life's online housing registration form.

3. During the registration process, there is an option to tick off your interest in CoRE. Tick it.

4. There is no step 4.

Not too bad, eh?

Unfortunately, due to the strong demand and limited space, there are not always enough spots available for all the incoming freshman who wish to join. Don't despair, however! There are still several options available.

Firstly, there is the possibility that someone, over the summer, will decide that CoRE (or the University, or whatver) isn't for them, and end up not attending during the fall.

Secondly, if you can hold out for a semester, a handful of spots may open up in the spring semester due to members graduating or moving off campus. Pursuing both of these options requires that you live in Dickinson community if you wish to pursue them. Furthermore, while you may not be able to live on the floor at first, having a room in the same building will allow you to hang out with us easily as though you did live on the floor.

For those who are already attending Binghamton University, there is one step:

1. Go to CoRE!

Seriously, just head to CoRE in O'Connor Hall or contact any current CoRE member. They can either get you the information or point you to the right person to talk to about joining. The residential signup systems are often changing, but usually CoRE can reserve space for a transfer and help make sure that person gets on the floor without problems. Otherwise, your RA, RD, AD, or other Residential Life may be able to help.

Note: There is an online application on this website now, just look to the left menu and find "Apply to CoRE"
